Private Equity

Since its inception in 2013, Forgestone has successfully raised four opportunity funds totaling approximately $450M in equity commitments. The funds are value-add in focus through the acquisition of income-producing properties, strategic development, and opportunistic mortgage lending within major urban markets across Canada.

  • Income Investments – Value creation through revenue enhancement and/or repositioning strategies
  • Development – All asset classes, with emphasis on intensification projects within major urban centers (GTA/GMA/GVA). Entitlements JVs with established-proven developers for market housing
  • Debt Financing – Preferred equity, strategic bridge and mezzanine (1st and 2nd) with ability to convert to equity or participation in the future
  • Co-GP Investments – Strategic investment for minority interest alongside our capital partners and advisory clients
